Use the values printed on your tyre or measured with a suitable gauge. TyreDeck explains the result but does not certify a tyre, wheel or vehicle as safe.
What this tells you
The common four-digit date code identifies production week and year. Age is one condition factor; cracking, deformation, pressure loss and use history still matter.
Use it properly
Find the date-code group on the sidewall; it may be visible on only one side. Use the decoded age alongside cracking, deformation, tread, pressure history and manufacturer guidance.
If you see a bulge, exposed cord, serious cut, rapid pressure loss or a visibly flat tyre, avoid unnecessary driving and arrange a competent physical inspection.
