SPECIFICATION / TYREDECK TOOL

Tyre label explainer

Understand wet-grip, fuel-efficiency or rolling-resistance and external-noise information shown on regulated tyre labels.

A–G

Efficiency / rolling resistance

Lower rolling resistance can reduce energy use. Compare the actual label grade supplied for each tyre.

A–G

Wet grip

Shows the tyre’s labelled wet-grip class under the regulated test framework.

dB

External rolling noise

Shows measured external rolling noise and, where supplied, its class.

HOW TO USE THIS TOOL

Use the values printed on your tyre or measured with a suitable gauge. TyreDeck explains the result but does not certify a tyre, wheel or vehicle as safe.

What this tells you

Where tyre-label rules apply, the label communicates fuel/energy efficiency, wet grip and external rolling noise. It does not replace correct fitment or condition checks.

Use it properly

Use the label to compare regulated characteristics between suitable tyres. It does not score aquaplaning, dry handling, wear life or every aspect of real-world performance.

Safety note

If you see a bulge, exposed cord, serious cut, rapid pressure loss or a visibly flat tyre, avoid unnecessary driving and arrange a competent physical inspection.
