Use the values printed on your tyre or measured with a suitable gauge. TyreDeck explains the result but does not certify a tyre, wheel or vehicle as safe.
What this tells you
For cars and light vans, TyreDeck uses the current UK 1.6mm legal minimum across the central three-quarters and around the circumference as a legal threshold—not a maintenance target.
Use it properly
Measure more than one groove and more than one point around every tyre. Record the lowest meaningful measurement and investigate large differences across the tread.
If you see a bulge, exposed cord, serious cut, rapid pressure loss or a visibly flat tyre, avoid unnecessary driving and arrange a competent physical inspection.
